Wireless Connections was founded by Jeff Welborn in 1998. Jeff originally began his career in Joplin, MO in 1994 as the Chief Meterologist at KODE. In 1998 he joined KSN as their Cheif Meteoroligist. During 1998 he also founded a company called Prime Business Communications which sold Commercial Long Distance. Within a year, paging, internet, and cellular phones were added.
In April of 2000, the company name was changed to Wireless Connections, and the first store was opened with one part-time employee.
During 2002 a second store was opened and in April 2002, Jeff decided to focus his energy on growing the business, and left television after 15 years as a broadcast Meteoroligist. By the summer of 2004, Wireless Connections had outgrown its original two stores, and the decision was made to build a new, larger store.
In November 2004 a state of the art store opened at 15th & Rangeline in Joplin, MO, which combined the two previous store & almost tripled in size. Wireless Connections has grown to 10 fulltime employees and carries a complete line of audio/video products to complement your home.
